- Place the candle on a stable surface, away from currents of air and flammable materials.
- Use caution when lighting up the candle, preferably using a long lighter made specifically for candles.
- Cut the wick slightly, making sure it is at least 1cm in length.
- Also make sure that the wick is in an upright position before lighting. It is recommended to use a wick straightener.
- Make sure that the candle wax is free from residues.
When the candle is lit:- Do not keep it lit for more than two hours.
- Do not leave the candle unattended or move it while it is lit.
- If two or more candles are used, place them at least 15cm apart.
When turning the candle off:- Ensure that the wax has melted all the way to the borders of the jar.
- Turn off the candle using a candle snuffer. Do not pour liquids or blow on the candle.
- Ensure that the wick does not bend towards the edges of the jar, if this happens, use a wick straightener to bring it back in upright position.
- Straighten the wicks to the initial position.
