Our origins
THE COSVAL GROUP WAS THE BRAINCHILD OF SERGIO BAERLOCHER, THE FIRST OF THE THREE GENERATIONS OF BAERLOCHERS TO BUILD THIS INNOVATIVE GROUP INTO WHAT IT IS TODAY.
Initially focused on the distribution of high-end perfumes and natural cosmetics from the Valais region of Switzerland into Italy, the name Cosval is an amalgamation of “Cosmetics” and “Valais.” The 1980’s saw Carlo Baerlocher, the second generation of Baerlochers, taking over from his father, leading the Cosval Group to diversify its product offering with the launch of three distinct new brands within the group - Sanotint, Migliorin, & Cosval Food Supplements. With 20 years of success to its name in Italy, the 1990s saw Cosval expand into new markets including the Middle East and northern Europe. The new millennium saw a significant expansion of the three brands’ product lines, and growing it to more than 200 products during that era of the company’s history. During the last decade, the Cosval Group rapidly grew its presence in the Middle-East with the addition of a permanent standalone hub in the United Arab Emirates.

In 2010, Locherber® Milano, with its line of bespoke luxury fragrance products, was launched and added to the group, and today, has successfully carved out a niche for itself in the global luxury lifestyle arena.

A patented and registered model that combines classicism and modernity: the new silhouette elegantly interprets contemporary minimalism and perfectly matches the design of the T2 cap and its rounded cubic lines inspired by ancient capitals and are now an icon of the LOCHERBER® MILANO style.
